Perf is a concept for a bag/clutch/portfolio in which the surface patterning and the closure mechanism are the same. Pushing and pulling the many teeth from one face of the bag through the holes on the opposite face can create custom closures and drawings. On one hand, this mechanism could be used for purely pragmatic reasons. For example, if someone needed to carry an MP3 player, a wallet, and a banana then they could create custom compartments for each object and the resulting drawing would be representative of what they carried. On the other hand, someone could use the mechanism to draw a ship at sea on the surface of his or her bag, and the bag would be closed via this drawing.
