This watch concept was conceived as a simple system for bringing the aesthetic and variation seen in screen-printed t-shirts to watches. The overall design of the watch is very simple: the case is designed as a two-part snap together plastic shell that is meant only to emphasize the graphic within, the strap is clasp-less and is made from industrial felt and the face is screen-printed on bleach-free recycled cardstock. This material palette was chosen for two reasons; first, the use of non-precious materials is in order to emphasize the graphic face itself and second, the aesthetic of the watch is meant to illustrate the low-tech, DIY nature of screen-printing.
