smorgasbord is a concept for a food magazine that dedicates each issue to a single type of food, food genre or ingredient. This issue is dedicated to the exploration of pickles. For the concept I created a cover, feature/contents page and 2 spreads for an article about dill pickles/a recipe for dill pickles. The idea for the cover is that each issue would use macro photography and a minimum of text to create a unique presence on the shelf, as the covers would be relatively abstract upon first glance and would only reveal the topic upon inspection.
